SRINAGAR: In the ongoing process of conducting Blood Donation Camps across valley, Directorate of Health Services on Wednesday conducted a Blood Donation Camp at Block Pattan, District Baramulla wherein 62 pints of blood were collected.
The camp was organised jointly by Blood Bank Team of District Hospital Baramulla and Block Medical Officer Pattan, a statement issued by DHSK said this evening.
It is pertinent to mention here that since last four days more than 310 blood units have been collected across various peripheral hospitals of the valley.
Director Health Services Kashmir Dr Saleem ur Rehman has already put forward directions to the hospital administration of District Hospital Baramulla and District Hospital Handwara to send the blood units to tertiary hospital as per the need and to continue organising blood donation camps in future such that there is no dearth of blood in peripheral hospitals and simultaneously be in a state to send blood to tertiary care hospitals whenever need arises.
