SRINAGAR:- Miister for Agriculture Production, Mr. Ghulam Nabi Hanjura today informed the House that Government has earmarked a provision of Rs.150.00 crore for the current financial year under Kissan Credit Cards (KCC) to farmers who have an outstanding balance of less than Rs.1.00 lac as on March 31.
He was replying to a clubbed question of Javid Ahmad Mirchal, Showkat Hussain Ganai and Vikrmditya Singh.
As per details there are 1,22,867 account holders who have standard accounts as on 31, August 2014, the Minster maintained. He added for the purpose of writing off, the amount considered will be 50% of the outstanding balance of less than Rs.1.00 lac as on 31-03-2015 as per norms.
