SRINAGAR: ICSC Yellows beat ICSC Blues by one wicket to win in a closely fought summit clash of Islamia College of Science and Commerce played at the college ground on Thursday.
It was a hard fought encounter with Yellows managing to scale down the target of 162 in the penultimate ball of their innings with just one wicket in the hand.
Blues opted to bat first after winning the toss. Riding on Simman’s 42-ball 58 and Kamran’s cameo of 27 off just 13 balls, Blues managed to post a decent score of 161 for the loss of seven wickets in their allotted 20 overs.
Dawood and Ubaid took a brace of wickets each for Yellows.
Yellows had a stop-start approach to the chase losing wickets, consistently but it was Tabish who held it together. He scored a well compiled 62 as Yellows reached the target in the last over to win the tournament.
Director Physical education of the college gave away the prizes to the runners up and the winning side.
The tournament was organised by the college’s Department of Physical Education.
