INDORE: The Indian Institute of Management, Indore, has launched a five-year Integrated Program in Management aimed at students who have passed out of class XII / Higher Secondary or equivalent from various schools in India. It is definitely worth a try even for those who have just joined their Bachelor’s course elsewhere.
It is for the first time that a management institute of the repute of IIM Indore is offering a course admitting students who completed their higher secondary examinations. IIM Indore aims to develop competent management professionals, change agents and outstanding leaders through this program. It provides an excellent opportunity for young aspirants, who want to pursue a career in management and will help them get a heads up in the field of management much ahead than they could have through the more traditional approach of the post graduation or a masters program. The program will also aid students in overall personality development and bring about societal awareness.

The Eligibility Criteria for the course:
General and NC-OBC Category:
Educational requirement: Must have obtained minimum 60% in SSC and HSC Examinations or equivalent Examinations
Maximum Age as on July 31, 2016: 20 years
- SC, ST and DA Category:
Educational requirement: Must have obtained minimum 55% in SSC and HSC Examinations or equivalent Examinations
Maximum Age as on July 31, 2016: 22 years - Foreign Candidates applying through SAT score
Educational: Must have obtained minimum 1600 overall score in SAT examination. SAT Scores obtained during last calendar year are only valid i.e. January 1 2015 to March 31 2016
Maximum Age as on July 31, 2016: 20 years or below
What is the Selection Process?
The candidates will be selected on the basis of overall performance in Aptitude Test and Personal Interview. Any candidate fail to appear in either Aptitude Test or Personal Interview or both shall not be considered further during the selection process. The selection process is as follows:
Based on the applications received, candidates satisfying minimum eligibility criteria will be called for the Aptitude Test (AT) to be conducted across 28 cities in the country i.e. Agra, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Ernakulum, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Gurgaon, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, NOIDA, Patna, Pune, Raipur, Ranchi, Varanasi and Visakhapatnam. However, IIM Indore reserves the right to change the centers at any time if the situation so warrants.
The Aptitude Test (AT) will be held on Friday May 13, 2016.
The pattern of AT will be as follows:
i. AT will be of objective-type nature.
ii. There will be two sections in AT namely Quantitative Ability and Verbal Ability.
iii. There will be 100 questions in total with time duration of two hours.
iv. Each question will carry 4 marks.
v. There will be a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer.
Please note that only those candidates who end up with positive raw scores in both the sections of Aptitude Test will be considered.
Sufficient number of candidates will be shortlisted for Personal Interview (PI) from each category (General, NC-OBC, SC, ST and PWD/DA) from the eligible pool using the merit list generated based on Aptitude Test Score (ATS) as mentioned below:

Note: Max. and Min. scores are the highest and lowest scores obtained in respective sections by the candidates from the eligible pool.
Category wise merit list will be generated based on Composite Score (CS) as mentioned below and provisional admission offers will be made accordingly adhering to the reservation norms.

Reservations
As per Government of India reservation norms, 15% per cent and 7.5% of the total seats are reserved for scheduled caste (SC) and scheduled tribe (ST) candidates respectively meeting IIMI’s admission requirements; 27% seats are reserved for non creamy layer – other backward classes (NC-OBC) candidates meeting IIMI’s admission requirements. In addition, 3% seats are reserved for persons with disabilities (as per the provisions of Persons with Disabilities Act, 1995) meeting IIMI’s admission requirements. The three categories of disabilities are: (a) low-vision/blindness, b) hearing impairment, and c) locomotor disability/cerebral palsy. This provision is applicable if the candidate suffers from any of the listed disabilities to the extent of not less than 40% as certified by medical authority and as prescribed and explained in the said Act.
