SRINAGAR: Anwar Saadat Mir, a youth from Shivpora Srinagar, who was arrested on Thursday night has been released from Police Station Budgam.
Ab Rashid Mir, father of the youth, confirmed his release. I had to visit the Police Station Budgam to get my son released, he told Kashmir Life.
The issue was raised by NCs Ganderbal Lawmaker, Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar, in the Lower House of the state legislature.
According to Rashid, SOG men raided his house and arrested his son without giving any reason.
The raid created panic in the area.
Ishfaq has a degree in Peace and Conflict Studies from Islamic University of Science and Technology. The law maker had asked the government about the reason behind the arrest of Ishfaq and identity of those who arrested him.
