Anantnag: A 31-year-old pregnant woman died allegedly due to medical negligence on Thursday night at MCCH hospital Anantnag. The deceased has been identified as Shaheena, wife of Bilal Ahmad Ganie, Resident of Nowpora Dooru.
According to relatives, the woman was brought to the hospital before one day after she developed labour pain. Thought the duty doctor attended to her and admitted her to the labour ward.At afternoon the women delivered a female baby but her condition worsened after the nurses delay in two hour at night. She fell unconscious and was declared dead after a short while. The incident led the infuriated relatives engage in a war of words with the hospital authorities. The situation worsened when a group of relatives came to the hospital around midnight to protest. Meanwhile when contacted to CMO Anantnag he told that wecomprised a four member investigative teamheaded by Deputy CMO Anantnag. They would investigate the matter and will submit a reportwithin three days. We will punish all the people found guilty in the case, He added.
