Srinagar: The sixth death anniversary of teenage student, Tufail Mattoo was observed here on Saturday with his family members, relatives and separatist leaders paying rich tributes to the slain youth.
Separatist leaders affiliated with various organizations including Islamic Political Party chairman Muhammad Yousuf Naqash, Young Mans League Chairman Imtiyaz Reshi, Tehreek-e-Mazhamat General Secretary Muhammad Saleem Zargar visited Martyrs Grave Yard Eidgah and offered Fateha there.
The leaders said the sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs will not be allowed to go waste and their mission will be accomplished at all costs.
In his tributes, Chairman Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) Shabir Ahmad Shah said, Tufail Mattoo and other martyrs of 2010 sacrifices their lives for the nation and we will continue to pursue their mission of freedom.
Several Hurriyat leaders including Shakeel Ahmed Bakshi visited the residence of Tufail Mattoo and expressed solidarity with his family.
He said the cops involved in brutal killings of teenagers during 2010 peaceful agitation are still roaming scout free. Muhammad Ashraf Matoo, the father of slain youth told CNS that scores of students from different colleges and Kashmir University also visited his house and expressed solidarity with the family members.
