SRINAGAR: The work on Dastageer Sahib Shrine which was stopped due to paucity of funds will be resumed soon. This was stated by government while replying to a question by PDP MLC Khursheed Alam.
The Dastageer Sahib shrine located in the midst of Shehr-e-Khaas was gutted down in a fire incident four years back. The incident had sparked protests across city.
The government said, Shrine has been built on original design.
However, some interior works are still to be completed, said government. The project which is coming up at Rs 16 crore is being executed by JKPCC. So far, government said, only Rs 9 crore has been released.
