Ganderbal: Ganderbal police claimed to have arrested two persons and recovered huge quantity of banned Codeine bottles from their possession in Ganderbal.
Police sources said that during a routine checking, a police party from police station Kheer Bhawani headed by DySP HQ , Dr Rameez tried to stop one Maruti car but the driver didn’t stopped .
The car was on way to Ganderbal and the driver didnt stop, police sources said adding we chased the car and stopped it near Ganderbal “.
On searching the car 1500 Codeine bottles were found inside it .
They added that the driver and his accomplice were arrested on the spot along with the banned Codiene and a case has been registered following which investigations were taken .
Meanwhile Ganderbal police has tightened its noose against drug peddlers in the district and in recent past various drug peddlers were arrested along with banned drugs and liquor . People of the district have appreciated the role of police in such moves .
