Srinagar: The recently held exams at Indra Gandhi National Open University(IGNOU) in Doda region of Jammu province are under scanner with the district administration having caught students resorting to mass copying.
In a letter to the Regional Director IGNOU, a copy of which lies with Kashmir Observer, the Sub District Magistrate Gandoh, said: Undersigned received complaints from reliable sources of examination center code 1264D, Bhalessa and in this regard undersigned inspected the said centre on 01 -06-201 6. The exam of term-Il was under process of different courses i.e MEG01. BUI 1:001. CHE1-2. MHI01 and MPS00I, EPS03. KSOI3, 1B001 and MTE07.
The SDM said During the inspection it was found that no sitting plan/arrangement has been prepared by the concerned head of the examination and some students were found busy in mass copying.
The identity proof was also not checked while examination staff which could not prove the genuine examinee. It was also found the examination staff deployed for the examination purpose belongs to private, as no examination staff from College/University was deployed for the examination, the official said.
In this connection, you are requested to take appropriate necessary action against the examination staff so that such type of practices not repeated in future.
