SRINAGAR: Amar Singh College emerged over all winners in Inter College Judo Championship, winning 12 medals four medals each in Gold, Silver and Bronze respectively in different categories, said a statement from the organisers.
Umar Gani of 2nd year, Zahid Farooq of Ist year, Ubaid Yusuf and Ahmad Ismail of 3rd year bagged gold medals respectively.
Zashan Ali, of Ist year,Anzar Sofi and Raja Sameer of both 2nd year students and Rehan Indrabi bagged Silver medals while Jehangir Faizan and naseer of ist year won bronze medals.
College principal Prof (Dr) Mohammad Aslam Baba congratulated the college judo team for bringing laurels to the college and defending the title for third consecutive time.
Convenor sports committee Prof Mir Mashooq and Director physical Education, Mushir-ul-Islam also hailed the efforts of judo team.
