Budgam: Anjuman Mazharul Haq, a religious organization from Central Kashmirs Budgam district Thursday declared that it will not allow any Yatra by any organization to the so called Abhinav Gupt cave in Beerwah area of the district as according to the organization court has already stated that, no evidence whatsoever has come to porve that Abhinav Gupta along with his disciples in the year 968 had entered into the cave or stayed there, as also there is no evidence to prove that the cave is being called as Bata Guf in the local parlance. The organization while displaying the copies of court orders during a press conference here said that the Honorable Court in its judgment vide order number DCB/PIL.SQ.14.639-43 dated 5/5/2014 has stated that, they are of the opinion that the tale of Abhinav Gupta is not based on any historicial evidence but it seems to be a story concocted by the petitioners.
How can any mischevious organization start a Yatra in the name of religion when there are no historical proofs available about the site they are claiming to be related to Gupt, a exponent of Shaivism, patron Anjuman Mazharul Haq Moulana Syed Abdul Lateef Bukhari according to news agency CNS said.
He said that people here in Kashmir are not against any religious community but they will not allow communal groups to disturb the peace here in the name of religion. The Delhi based organization that is mulling to start a yatra there (Beerwah) should understand that this cave has no historical or religious significance and it is a sheer attempt to offend the sentiments of majority community living in Kashmir, he said and warned that they will took to roads if government allows this so called yatra.
Pertinently, a New Delhi-based organization Acharaya Abhinav Gupt Sheshadri Samroh Samiti has said that it will start a new Yatra to Abhinav Gupt cave in Beerwah area of Budgam that according to the organization will start from New Delhi in the beginning of 2nd week of June.
Pertinently, authorities didnt allow Anjuman Mazharul Haq organization to hold a press conference in a local hotel here forcing the management to address the media men in open at Press Enclave Srinagar.(CNS)
