Srinagar: Governor N.N Vohra and First Lady Usha Vohra, attended a music concert organized by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) and Global Peace Initiative of Women (GPIW) at the Government College for Women, M.A Road, Srinagar here today.
The audience was enthralled by the mesmerizing performance of Davood Azad, an accomplished Iranian classical and Azeri folk music singer and by the performances of local Kashmiri artists, Mr. Waheed Geelani and Ustad Mushtaq Saaz Nawaz.
The Governor complimented vocalists and instrumentalists for their wonderful performances and thanked GPIW and Dr. A.R Nazki, Regional Director ICCR, for enabling such a wonderful evening.
The Welcome Address was presented by Dr. A.R Nazki, ICCR, Srinagar and Vote of Thanks was given by Muhammad Amin Bhat.
Farooq Ahmad Andrabi, Minister for Haj & Auqaf, was among the prominent participants, students and the large audience which was present on the occasion. (PTK)
