SRINAGAR: Terming the killing of the two youths, which police claimed were militants, at Saraibala in the city centre as mysterious and doubtful, Hurriyat Conference (G) Chief Syed Ali Geelani demanded an impartial investigation by some independent agency into the incident.
He also termed the statement of CM Mehbooba Mufti as ridiculous and unrealistic in which she had praised the state police for not allowing JK to become Syria or Pakistan.
Geelani said that the police force about which the Mehbooba is talking is involved a hundreds of innocent killings of civilians in Jammu & Kashmir and the special force of this police department which is known as SOG are expert in killing civilians particularly youths and students in custody.
The Saraibala incident is a new record and achievement of the Mehbooba Muftis police and according to the eye witnesses it was clearly a staged drama of fake encounter in which two youths were killed, he said.
Geelani said that the unpleasant incidents which happen in Pakistan is actually the handy work of the New Delhi bosses of Mehbooba and Indian secret agency RAW is formally financing the terrorist activities in this country and also provide training to the people in this regard.
He questioned Mehbooba Mufti that she should have also expressed her opinion regarding the hundreds and thousands of innocent people who have been killed by the Indian army and the SOG from last 26 years. She however knows that it will cost her chair.
