SRINAGAR: AIP Supremo and MLA Langate Er Rasheed today walked out of District Development Board Meeting when government failed to clear its stand over certain sensitive issues.
AIP in a statement released to PTK said that during his speech Er Rasheed asked government to explain what went to its promise of completing enquiry within one month in Handwara and Kupwara killings and to come out with the facts that who opened fire on unarmed civilians resulting in five deaths in the district?
He accused government of subjecting government employees to mental torture and harassment and added that if DC has been directed to prepare list of stone pelters and government employees involved in so called anti-national activities why doesnt it even identify the killers in uniform despite announcements made by the CM. Er Rasheed further added that if government has not been able to complete the magisterial probe within promised stipulated time period of one month, what moral authority it had to suspend near a dozen government employees by levelling false charges against them.
He demanded if Kashmiri Pandit migrants are being talked out every minute and treated as a privileged class, why doesnt government care about the suffering of people of Keran, Karnah and other border areas. (PTK)
