SRINAGAR: As the Budget session of the Assembly begins tomorrow the police has strengthened security arrangements and put its men on alert following the killing of three policemen in two attacks by militants on Monday.
Deputy Inspector General of Police, Ghulam Hassan Bhat told KNS that the police has made all the required security arrangements for smooth conduct of the Budget session of the Assembly.

The five Budget Session of the Assembly will begin tomorrow with Governor N N Vohras address and the Budget for years 2016-17 will be presented in the House on May 30.
For three days from May 26 to May 28, the Assembly will have a discussion on Motion of Thanks to the Governors Address. And the Budget for 2016-17 will be presented in the House on May 30, while the general discussion on it will be held from May 31 to June 2.
From June 3 to June 22, the House would take up demands of individual departments for discussion. On June 23, the House would take up Appropriation Bill, he said.
On June 24, the House would take up Private Members Resolutions while June 25 has been kept for Government Business, followed by Private Members Bills on June 27, he said.
Private Members Resolutions will again be taken up on June 28 and, Private Members Bills onJune 29 and Government Business on June 30, he said, adding the session will conclude onJune 30.
Secretary Legislative Assembly Mohammad Ramzan told KNS that all preparations have been made for the conduct of the Budget Session.
1252 questions have been submitted by 64 MLAs for the session; of which 640 are starred questions while remaining 612 are unstarred questions.
An official said they have received 29 fresh bills from legislators for the session. He said 96 private member resolutions have been submitted in the LA secretariat.
The official said that 14 bills are already pending for introduction, consideration and passage in the House. (KNS)
