SRINAGAR: Grandmother of IT & Sports Minister Imran Ansari and mother of MLA Zadibal Abid Ansari passed away on Saturday.
Family sources told Kashmir Observer that Mrs Nissa Begum breathed her last at 2 pm Saturday at Dar-ul-Jawad, Qamarwari. She was 95.
Deceased was mother of Shia cleric and politician late Molvi Iftikhar Hussain Ansari and MLA Zadibal Abid Ansari.
She was laid to rest at Baba Mazar, Zadibal in the evening besides the resting place of her husband, late Maulana Jawad Ansari who had passed away in November 1957.
Meanwhile Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti expressed sympathies with Imran Ansari and other family members.
In her condolence message, the Chief Minister expressed solidarity with the bereaved family members in their hour of grief. She also prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.
