SRINAGAR: Independent legislator Er Rasheed Monday said that former CM late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed was a dream seller who lied to Kashmiris.
Rasheed was responding to assertions made by CM Ms Mehbooba Mufti who had said my father was the only leader who never lied to the people of Kashmir, an AIP statement said. Rasheed heads AIP.
He ridiculed the claim saying, Mehboobas claim is itself a Himalyan lie.
Addressing party workers in Pattan today, Rasheed reminded Ms Mufti of her and late Mufti sahibs appeals to people of state during last assembly elections not to vote for BJP and then falling in love with Amit Shah and Company.
If Mehbooba Muftis claims that leaders sold dreams to Kashmiris are believed to be true then why not to call her father Mufti a dream seller, as it was he who along with Mehbooba was advocating talks with the militants, getting so-called Self Ruleto J&K and allowing a dual currency in J&K, he said.
All what Mehbooba is trying to prove by accusing national media is that everything is calm in Kashmir and there are few misguided youth who are raising anti-India protests but Mehbooba needs to know that she can neither impress her masters in BJP and New Delhi nor can change the ground situation by hollow claims as Kashmiris have an internationally recognised dispute with Indian state and it doesnt make a difference if Mehbooba rules state through so-called democratically elected means or Kuka Parray or Osman Majid rule the state through barrel of the gun, he alleged.
He asked Mehbooba Mufti before accusing national media of being biased (which every Kashmiri has been crying since long), to lift the illogical and illegal ban on valley based TV channels
