SRINAGAR: Students of Womens College, Srinagar, Tuesday popped their trendy sets from their bags rushed towards the visiting Education Minister, Naeem Akhtar to take a selfie. The minister, momentarily, forgot to tell the students or reprimand the authorities that carrying cellphones in the schools is a punishable offence.
Le Lo, Le Lo Bachay, Akhtar obliged the students.
At one point in time, the crowd became so unmanageable that the minister had to be literally pulled out and taken to his car.
These are memories that every student would like to keep, one senior teacher said. This also explains the kind of generation we are tackling in 2016.
As the crowd thickened, the minister was heard telling students that he was unwell but he could only act as a statue and let the students click their cellphone cameras.
