JAMMU:- The 10-day long state-wide special drive to check supply of sub-standard milk and milk products launched by Jammu and Kashmir Food Safety Authorities (JKFSA) concluded today.
During the drive, the authorities lifted 400 numbers of samples of milk and milk products from different parts of the State and destroyed about 16834 litres of substandard milk.
The Food Safety Authorities have cautioned the shopkeepers and milk sellers to desist from the illegal practices and cooperate with the authorities for ensuring quality food items to the consumers. The authorities have also sought cooperation from the general masses and have asked for feedback regarding the supply of substandard consumable goods so that requisite action under law can be taken to curb such trade practices .
