SRINAGAR: Three juveniles have escaped from J&K Government run Harwan Juvenile Home in the dead of night.
According to the Police Station, Harwan, the trio fled the juvenile custody in the intervening night of May 02-03.
Identified as Adil Bashir Dar (17), s/o Bashir Ahmad, r/o Bargam, Tral; Mudasir Ahmad Dar (16), s/o Gh Mohi Din, s/o Hardmir, Shamsher Shiekh (17), s/o Jalal Ud Din, r/o Bihar.
The two Tral residents were arrested and subsequently put into Juvenile home for militancy related cases while an under trial Shamsher Sheikh of Bihar is held under section 302 of RPC in a case registered in Islamabad district, the cop said.
Giving details, the cop said, the trio have removed a window pane of the room they were living in and using a rope they have come down the hostel building.
Thereafter, the police official said, they have ran away from back side of the juvenile home premises removing the concertina wires.
He said that the duo of Tral was detained for at least last four months while Jalal was being held for last two years.
The cop added that Police Station Harwan has registered an FIR number 23/2016 u/s 224 of RPC in the case and investigations have started.
