Srinagar: Annual plan of Rs. 99 crore has been formulated for implementation of development works and welfare schemes in Bandipora district for the current financial year.
This was stated during a meeting of officers held here with District Development Commissioner Bandipora in chair. During the meeting, achievements of last fiscal besides future plans for the year 2016-17 of agriculture, horticulture, health, cooperative, social welfare, animal husbandry. Sports, fisheries and other departments were reviewed.
On this occasion, Deputy Registrar Cooperative Societies Bandipora said that fertilizers, kerosene oil, poultry birds, essential commodities and other goods worth Rs. 7.54 crore were distributed among people in the district last fiscal by Cooperative department, earning Rs. 20.25 lakh as profit by the department.
The DDC on the occasion impressed upon the officers to ensure completion of ongoing schemes within the stipulated period. He said that the pending cases in offices related to public grievances and claims should be disposed off on priority.
The meeting was also attended by Chief Planning Officer Bandipora besides district level and Sectoral officers.(PTK)
