The Anti-Corruption Bureau of Andhra Pradesh on Saturday seized assets worth Rs. 800 crore from the possession of a deputy transport commissioner.
According to reports, East Godavari deputy transport commissioner A. Mohan was arrested and produced before the ACB court in Vijaywada on Thursday, while the ACB officials continued raiding his premises on Friday at several locations in Andhra Pardesh, Telangana and Karnataka.
While the document value of Mohans properties is between Rs. 100 to Rs. 120 crore, its market value is estimated to be around Rs. 800 crore.
Reports further suggest that several bank lockers belonging to Mohan are yet to be opened.
Among valuable items recovered from Mohans house include precious gems, diamonds and gold and silver jewellery.
Raids were conducted at Vijaywada, Anantapur, Kadapa, Bellary, Medak, Nellore, Prakasam and some places in Hyderabad.
