SRINAGAR:In its continuous drive against sale and distribution of spurious/ illegal/ unauthorized pesticides by dealers, a team of Law Enforcement Agency under the supervision of Deputy Director Law Enforcement Kashmir, inspected various Godowns in Budgam, Baramulla, Pulwama, Kulgam and Anantnag districts and booked various pesticide dealers for violating Insecticides Act 1968.
During the inspection Law Enforcement Inspector Anantnag has seized a huge quantity of misbranded Pesticide of 1650 Kgs of Mancozvip (Mancozeb 75% WP) under batch No.AC-15006 and 350 Kgs of Mancozvip (Mancozeb 75% WP) under batch No. 15004 manufactured by Agri care from Godreg Agrovit Ltd. Anantnag. Also a quantity of 8 kgs of IPL Ziram-80 (Ziram 80% WP) under batch No. IZW/16/03/06 manufactured by India pesticide Ltd. Lucknow U.P were also seized from M/S Crop Care Anantnag.
In District Kulgam, Law Enforcement inspector Kulgam seized a quantity of misbranded pesticide of 18 kgs of Indofil M-45 (Mancozeb 75% WP) under batch No. TMZL 8191 manufactured by Indofil industries Ltd. Mumbai and 13 kgs of IPL Ziram-80 (Ziram 80% WP) under batch No. IZW/16/03/06 manufactured by India pesticide Ltd. Lucknow U.P from M/S Naikoo Agro Kulgam.
Moreover cases against M/s H.S.traders Sopore, M/s Naikoo Agro chemicals Kulgam, M/s Madina Agri Tech K.P Road in district Anantnag, M/s Fayaz Ahmad Dar Hospital Road Shopian, M/s Manzoor Agrochemical Chitragam Shopian, and M/S Malik pesticide Nowa Masjid Shopian have been initiated as they have been found involved in sale/ distribution of misbranded pesticide namely IPL ziram-80 (Ziram 80%-WP) Under Batch No. IZW/16/03/06. Cases have also been intiated against Alfala Agro Centre Kulgam, Aijaz Ahmad Alliee D.H Pora and Javid Ahmad Bhat M/s Madina Agro centre D.H. Pora who have been found involved in sale/ distribution of misbranded pesticide namely Indofil M-45 (Mancozeb 75%-WP) under batch No. TMZL 8191 manufactured by Indofil Industries Ltd. Mumbai.
During the inspection M/s Rahat pesticide Magam, Budgam. M/s H.S. Traders Magam Budgam, M/S F.M. Traders Budgam and M/S Mir Pesticide Chadoora Budgam, in District Budgam. M/s M.S. Enterprise Ladoora, M/s Zahid Pesticide Marazigund, M/s Mir Enterprise Hanjiwera, M/s zahoor pesticide Pattan, M/s pest control main bazaar Pattan, Mushtaq Pesticide Palhalan, M/s J.K. Agencies Baramulla, M/s Aijaz pesticides Bous and M/s J.K. Fertilizer Sale Centre Hanjiwera in District Baramulla, Parray Pesticide Hajan in District Bandipora, Mohammad Abbass Sheikh Manzgam, Tanvir Ahmad Naikoo Chak Awtoo in District Kulgam, Dar pesticide Court road Pulwama, Himalaya Enterprises Pulwama, Aljahan Traders Muran Pulwama and Ashiq Hussain Ganie Mirgund Thokerpora in District Pulwama, M/S Earth-N-Art Lalchowk, Srinagar, M/S Arifeen Agrochemicals Srinagar and M/s Magray Pesticide in district Srinagar were found running their business in contravention of Insecticides Act, 1968 and Rules made there under and Prosecution case have been initiated against them.
J.K. Fertilizer Sale Centre Hanjiwera Pattan and F.M. Traders Budgam were found involved in sale/distribution of fertilizers manufactured by M/s Pratishta Industries ltd. Sekunderabad Andhra Pradesh in Contravention of FCO 1985 and accordingly were booked under law.
The department has said that the drive against the distributors/dealers of pesticide/fertilizers/seeds contravening the insecticide Act, 1968 shall be intensified in coming days
