Bandipora: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee State General Secretary and MLA Bandipora, Usman Majid said that People must strive to prevent communal forces from cementing their bases in our state who are trying hard to divide us on religious lines
Usman said while addressing workers convention in Bandipora yesterday said,During 2014 elections PDP came into power by playing the sentimental politics of AFSPA and rehabilitation of flood victims and they were supported openly by many so called religious groups but in return PDP gave way to BJP in entering our state to tarnish every bond of religious harmony that has ever existed. On the other hand BJP plays its communal cards in Jammu by making fake promises on issues like Article 370.
Majeed attributed recent killings in north Kashmir to those elements who are working tirelessly to disrupt peace in our state and appealed the party workers to beware of these elements who work on the communal agendas of Hinduvta.
Congress Youth president Bandipora Ghulam Hassan also addressed the rally and stressed for the timely completion of various works pending in district Bandipora particularly upper of Kudara, Serender and Chontimulla. There should be no partiality between those who have voted for us and those who have not because a progressive society cant run without showering equal opportunities on all Hassan said.
