Srinagar:In order to expose the college students to the beauties of nature, Islamia College Physical Education Department has chalked out a comprehensive programme of different adventure activities like Forest Trekking, Hiking, Mountaineering and river rafting etc. In this connection college has been registered as institutional member of J &K Mountaineering and Hiking club for its technical support.
With the technical support of J & K Mountaineering & Hiking club, the college students participated in recently held Trekking trip organized by J &K Mountaineering & Hiking club. A Final team of 67 Trekkers left for Yusmarg at 08:00 AM. Participants, (including group of students of Islamia College) were offered Tea and soon the trek kicked off (Total Distance to cover:- 14 kms Approx).Enthusiastic members comprising both Men and Women including Islamia College students marched towards Doodpathri while crossing streams, Lush green Meadows of Tosamaidan and Dense Forests. Good weather conditions added to the beauty of this trek. Team reached Doodpathri at around 04:30 PM in the afternoon and further departed towards Srinagar.
