Srinagar: A week after the government appointed Additional Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar to conduct inquiry into the National Institute of Technology (NIT incident, the inquiry officer Nazir Ahmed Baba Friday said he has recorded the statements of all the parties including faculty members, Police and both local and non-local students. The probe is going on in the right direction. It will take few more days to complete the probe. So far I can say that whatever happened at NIT was not spontaneous, Baba told CNS. Pertinently, after NIT row, the state government on 7 April this month had appointed Additional Deputy Commissioner Srinagar to conduct inquiry. The government had directed the inquiry officer to submit its report within 15 days. (CNS)
