The J&K government is holding a meeting with the non-local National Institute of Technology (NIT) here to resolve the crisis.
Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh, Education Minister Naeem Akhtar and Director NIT Rajesh Gupta are holding the meeting with the students.
Nonlocal students have been boycotting their class work from the last few days, demanding shifting the campus outside the valley that has been rejected by the HRD ministry.
Meanwhile, the NIT authorities have allowed some non-local students to leave for home. They will be writing their exams later.
