Srinagar: Security forces have arrested a militant of Hizbul Mujahideen from village Ratsun of Budgam district, defence spokesperson said today.
He said a joint team of Army and Police apprehended a HM militant in a well coordinated swift operation conducted yesterday in village Ratsun of Budgam District.
Spokesperson said that based on a specific intelligence input regarding the move of a HM militant in village Ratsun, Distt Budgam, a joint operation was launched by Army and JKP in the late hours of 19 March 2016.
During the operation, the joint team successfully apprehended a HM militant along with One AK 56 Rifle, Two AK 56 Magazines, 84 Rounds and one Chinese Grenade. The apprehended militant was later identified as Abdul Hamid Nath (Zuber) son of Mohd Akbar Nath resident of Latina, Beerwah of Budgam District. The militant was involved in many terror related incidents in Budgam area. An FIR has been registered and the apprehended terrorist has been handed over to the local Police Station, Budgam, spokesperson said.
