Srinagar: Advisor to Governor Parvez Dewan on Friday called for improving the healthcare facilities in the District Hospitals to minimize the referrals besides lessen the burden on city hospitals. The advisor said this during a surprise visit to Lal Ded Hospital here. During the visit, the Advisor took stock of the facilities being provided to the patients. He interacted with the patients, attendants and enquired about the patient care facilities available there.
While interacting with the authorities of Health Department, Mr. Dewan asked them to make Gynae sections in District hospitals of Anantnag and Baramulla fully functional round the clock so that the patients from those places are not referred to city hospitals for treatment. (PTK)
