SRINAGAR: Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Dr. Farooq Ahmad Lone today visited Nowgam and Lasjan areas of the city, and inspected the ongoing works of 1400 feet long Charipora to Nowgam-Padshahibagh link road, Charipora-Harinambal and Natipora roads.
The DC was informed that these roads are being constructed under MGNERGA by Rural Development Department at a cost of Rs 20 lakh. He directed the concerned executing agencies to expedite the on going works to ensure their timebound completion .
During his visit, the DC also finalized the site for construction of community facility centre at Lasjan B which will be constructed by Rural Development Department at a cost of Rs 37.80 lakhs.
On the occasion, the residents of Charipora Nowgam areas apprised the Deputy Commissioner about issues regarding Flood Relief, Aadhar Cards and Government Primary School Charipora.
The Deputy Commissioner assured them that the issues will be redressed on priority basis.
The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by the Joint Director Planning, officers of Rural Development Department and other concerned officials.
