ANANTNAG: The Deputy Commissioner Anantnag Muneer ul Islam today distributed hearing aids among various physically challenged school going children at a function organized under the Rashtriya Bal Swasthik Karyikram at the district hospital.
Speaking on the occasion the Deputy Commissioner said that individuals and society at large have a fundamental role to uplift and encourage the physically challenged people in ever sphere of life.
He urged parents of physically challenged to come forward and persuade their children to seek education as every government educational institution has been developed keeping in view the requirements of differently abled children.
Later the DC visited various wards of the District Hospital and took stock of the functioning there.
He also interacted with patients in many wards and enquired about the facilities being provided in the hospital.
He stressed upon the Medical Superintendent of the District Hospital to provide quality health services and ensure attendance of the medical staff in the hospital.
