Srinagar: J&K Kashmir High Court Bar association Srinagar Saturday held a meeting to protest over the non-availability of the President and Member of State Consumer Protection Commission at Srinagar and Chairman and other two members of J&K Special Tribunal at Srinagar.
Notably, on Friday, carpet weavers of Srinagar had held protest demonstration in press colony over the non-availability of President of the state consumer protection commission which has delayed the justice.
The Bar raised serious concerns over the non-availability of President and other members Consumer Protection Commission. No states have been taken by the government to fill up the post so far, a statement of the Bar said.
The statement said that while the commission is functioning smoothly in Jammu, the people are facing tremendous problems due to absence of president in Srinagar.
The bar decided to bring the matter to the notice of Chief justice who is has the power to oversee the functioning of all judicial commissions in the state.
