SRINAGAR: Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) president, Abdul Qayoom Wani Thursday hailed the High court verdict saying that the screening test should be taken to those who have passed their degrees through outside universities.
While talking to KNS, Wani said that High Court decision over Rehber-e-Taleem teachers is a welcoming step. We were also asking the authorities to go through the same procedure but unfortunately they didnt pay heed over it, Wani said.
He told KNS that High Court verdict proved that they were right. We were protesting in this regard hence proved our protests were based on facts. We were forced by the authorities to take streets, he said.
He said that they will support the court orders.
We are always asking the state authorities to take actions like the way court today said. We were not against the authorities move to take action against fake certificate holders but were always saying that the strategy was incorrect, he said. (KNS)
