Jammu : Sandhi Stars defeated Bhatyari Youngsters by five wickets while Chak Rakwala trounced Dhok Waziran Skydivers by equal wickets in the Maruti Suzuki Nagrota Premier League Tournament, an initiative of MLA Devender Singh Rana. In the first match, Bhatyari Youngsters scored 95 runs in 14 overs loosing all wickets. Shalu scored 25 runs,and Varinder 20 runs. Usman of Sandhi Stars took hat-trick. He bowled three overs, gave eight runs and took three wickets. Sandhi Stars won the match by scoring 96 runs after losing 5 wickets in 12 overs. Waqar made 26 and Majeed 28 runs respectively. From Bhatyari Youngstar Varinder bowled three overs, gave 15 runs with two wickets. In the second match, Chak Rakwala Leopards scored 152 runs in prescribed 14 overs, losing 5 wickets. Rahul Singh scored 74 runs in 30 balls with 7 sixes and 4 fours. Gaurav Singh scores 45 runs in 17 balls with 3 sixes and 5 fours. Dhokwaziran Skydivers were bundled out for 120 runs in prescribed 14 overs. Rahul Singh’s played a brilliant innings. He bowled 3 overs gave 16 runs and got three wickets. Matches were officiated by Saleem Ur Rehman and Pankaj Sasun from J&K Youth Services & Sports. Ranjeet Kalra, Member BCCI who was also present on the occasion presented the Man of the Match award to Rahul Singh of Chak Rakwal Leopards and Usman of Sandhi Stars for their all round performance.
