SRINAGAR: The Empowered Committee headed by Commissioner/Secretary to Government, Finance Department, Navin K Choudhary, in a significant decision, Tuesday cleared 338 leftover cases of Daily Wage Workers for regularization.
As per the details provided by the Finance Department, out of 338 cases, 302 regularization cases pertain to PHE Department while 36 cases pertain to Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Department, an official spokesperson said this evening.
Pertinently, Governor, N N Vohra had at a meeting in Jammu on January 30 asked Chief Secretary, B R Sharma to expedite the process for regularization of eligible daily wagers and complete the same by March 1, 2016.
