SRINAGAR: District Development Commissioner Srinagar today held a meeting of Collectors of Land Acquisition to accelerate the process of land acquisition and review payments for compensation to the land owners.
It was given out that Rs. 7 crore have been provided to the collector Syed Mirak Shah Road and it was revealed that Rs. 4 crore have been disbursed among the owners whose structures have been acquired. Similarly, disbursement for Khanyar Zadibal Pandach Road, and Jehangir Chowk Karan Nagar SKIMS road was also reviewed. Concerned collectors were directed to expedite the process of acquisition and disbursement so that the bottlenecks are removed.
In addition to it, Rs. 3 crores have been provided to the collector concerned for payment to the Land owners of Pantha chowk thus, aggregating a total provision of Rs. 16 crores for the said purpose. Besides, Collector Public Works Department was asked to expedite the disbursement of the Rs. 3 crores for Parimpora Qamarwari Road.
