BUDGAM: Police have managed to nab a cop who had fled with an AK-47 rifle from Rainawari Police Station in Srinagar city on Saturday.
Reyaz Ahmed Shah, an SPO cum follower according to police was arrested from Khansahab area of Central Kashmirs Budgam district on Sunday evening.
A resident of Khansahab, Ahmad (belt No 175F), was on the run since Saturday when he decamped with the service rifle of a constable from Rainawari police station.
The fleeing cop was arrested in an operation. We had constituted a special team to nab him. He has been in our lock up and is questioned to ascertain the motive behind his attempt, a senior police officer.
