SRINAGAR: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) President and Member Parliament, Ms Mehbooba Mufti expressed deep grief and sorrow over the demise away of Gen (Retd) K V Krishna Rao, former Governor of Jammu and Kashmir. Mehbooba has conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the peace of the departed soul, said a statement. A former Army Chief, Gen Rao served as the Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Nagaland, Manipur and Tripura.
He was governor of Jammu and Kashmir for the first time from July 11, 1989 to January 19, 1990 and the second time from March 13, 1993 till May 2, 1998.
