SrinagarThree football teams on Monday were screened by J&K State Sports Council based in Jammu and Srinagar through its expert committees.
With immense hope, the athletes were briefed by the respective screening committees for giving their best on the field and try to bring laurels to J&K State where football is picking the pace to my corners of both the regions.
As the appetite for football is high, J&K senior football team will be seen in action in the 70th Santosh Trophy of North Zone Cluster scheduled to be held from 6th to 11th February 2016 at Jammu.
The 20-member team is slated in the pool of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Chandigarh with Hilal Parray appointed as the head coach, B.A Malik is the team Manager and Dr. Shahnaz as physio.
J&K Under-19 Football team is all-set to take part in the 50th National Junior Football Championship 2015-16, scheduled to be held at Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh from 2nd to 8th February 2016.
The team has been named in the pool of Chandigrah, Nagaland and Tripura, comprised of 20 players, Rajesh Kumar as coach and Hilal Panjabi as Manager.
Under-16 J&K football team will be taking part in the Sub-junior National Football Championship 2015-16 scheduled to be held from Ist February to 8th Feb 2016 at Delhi.
Sub-junior team is listed in the pool of Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pardesh. The 20 players have been named along with the coach Shri Nazir Sofi, Wali Mohammad as manger and Dr. Burhan will assist as physio.
