New Delhi: Mehbooba Mufti introduced her brother Tassaduq Hussain Mufti in her party fold giving speculation that the first would be woman chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir is likely to follow the footprint of politicians encouraging their family members to join the politics. He is likely to contest from Anantnag seat from where Mehbooba is an MP.
Tassaduq, a cinematographer remained away from politics until his father and Chief Minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed remained alive. In fact, he had expressed his unwillingness in joining the politics and now he wanted to do something good on environmental issue in Kashmir.
Sources said even as the PDP chief is yet to decide in what capacity Tassaduq will be engaged, the political circles was abuzz with speculative theories of one saying the PDP chief Mehbooba seemed to aim at keeping all the keys to her fold.
The sources said there were strong indication that when Mehbooba Mufti will leave the MP seat from Anantnag to contest the assembly election for the seat which fell vacant after the death of Mufti Mohammed Sayeed, Tassaduq will contest as PDP candidate from Anantnag MP seat.
