SHOPIAN: Deputy Commissioner Shopian today convened a meeting of officers to review the progress regarding implementation of National Food Security Act (NFSA) in the District. It was informed in the meeting that data entry and the fidelity checking of the lists of rationees under all Fair Price Shops/Sale Centres has been completed and the lists thereof have been published for calling of objections regarding claims of category of rationee and correction of particulars, if any.
The Deputy Commissioner stated that the preparation for issuance of Ration Cards has already been taken up and these shall be issued within shortest possible time in order to facilitate the distribution of ration as per the new scheme envisaged under NFSA.
The Deputy Commissioner also took review of the ADHAAR coverage in the district and held deliberation on various aspects besides progress made in the coverage of ADHAAR thereof.
