SRINAGAR: A solidarity march for the people of Pulwama, a march was held in Hyderpora Srinagar shortly after the culmination of Friday prayers. The march was led by separatist leaders including Syed Imtiyaz Hyder. The participants amid pro-freedom and pro-Islamic slogans expressed solidarity with the people of Pulwama. They salute the resilience of people and said that they will always back them.
A march in Palhalan area of Pattan town turned violent when protesters hurled stones on government forces prompting police to resort to tear-gas shelling. Reports said that many protesters and policemen were injured during the clashes.
To express solidarity with the people of Pulwama, the constituent of Syed Ali Geelani led Hurriyat Democratic Political Movement (DPM) organized a protest march in Central Kashmirs Ganderbal district.
The protest march was taken out from Masjid Towheed in Beehama Ganderbal and it was led by party General Secretary Khawaja Firdous and Chief Coordinator Shakil Ahmed Bhat.
Talking to reporters Khawaja Firdous said that people of Pulwama have been fighting for a just cause and people all across Kashmir should salute them. We have every right to erect the memorials for our Martyrs and the government has no right to snatch this right from us, he said.
