JAMMU: Director General of Police (DGP), Mr. K. Rajendra Kumar has said that the use of latest gadgets and technology during the ongoing recruitment of Constables in JKP is yielding good results and the aspirants have shown their faith upon the recruiting agency.
Rajendra was supervising recruitment process at District Police Lines Samba here today. He said that recruitment process of 4,000 Constables in Armed and Executive Police has been initiated in the State. In the first phase the process was initiated in Kashmir Province by conducting physical tests of the aspirants and now the process in Jammu Province is going on.
Rajendra said that JKP has been adopting latest technology first time to ensure a transparent recruitment. He said that the department in collaboration with a Private Agency has been conducting the required tests and process is recorded through CCTV Cameras and other equipments to avoid any discrepancy. The result of the tests is prepared and announced on the spot and any candidate who is not satisfied with the results is provided the requisite records said Rajendra.
Rajendra, while interacting with the candidates got feedback from them about the recruitment process. They hailed the procedures adopted by the JKP, saying that they are very much satisfied with the process. They said that they have witnessed such transparent system first time. DGP assured that the whole process would be transparent and the deserving candidates would be selected.
Earlier, the Chairman Police Recruitment Board, L. Mohanti, briefed the DGP about the ongoing process. He said that more than 4,647 candidates, including 385 female candidates have applied for 101 posts in Samba district for which physical tests were conducted and completed.
He said that after completing the process of physical tests in all districts of the State, schedule for written test of the qualified candidates would be notified.
Among others, DGP was accompanied by IGP, MS Salaria, SSP Samba, Joginder Singh, COs, Roop Raj, Mahboob Ahmed Choudhary, Addl. SP Samba, Faisal Quershi, SP Aftab Ahmed, Addl. SP Traffic Rural Jammu, Dushant Sharma and other Board members.
