SRINAGAR: Militant outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba Wednesday paid rich tribute to the Sopore massacre victims. The outfit while lauding the role of people of Sopore in Kashmir Freedom Struggle said that LeT salutes the resilience and dedication of common people of Sopore.
LeT Chief Mehmood Shah in a statement to a local news agency, CNS, said that on January 6, 1993, Indian troopers crossed all limits and one tears out blood when he remembers that gruesome massacre in which scores of innocent people were killed.
We salute the people of Sopore and all those who sacrificed their lives for sake of freedom struggle. Following the footsteps of these martyrs, our youth have been managing this struggle. The sacrifices of freedom lovers and extermination of Informers will lead us towards the destination, he said.
