SRINAGAR: Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Wednesday said that the gruesome massacre of 53 innocent civilians at the hands of Indian troopers in 1993 is the blackest chapter in Kashmir history which can never be erased in the annals of history.
JKLF Vice Chairman, Advocate Bashir Ahmed Bhat who along with other Front leaders including Sheikh Abdul Rashid, Muhammad Sidiq Shah, Syed Nisar Ahmed Jeelani, Farooq Ahmed Hakeem and Maulana Reyaz visited Sopore to offer special prayers in favour of slain civilians expressed sympathy with the bereaved families.
They said that the martyrs of Kashmir will live ever in the hearts of minds of people and their memories will refresh and lift the spirit of freedom struggle.
The Front leaders said that India has become habitual of exonerating killers. First Indian troopers kill innocent civilians and then culprits are shielded and given clean chit, they said.
