KOKERNAG: Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Abdul Haq, on Saturday laid foundation stone of a Community Facility Centre at Devalgam in Breng valley of Kokernag constituency to be constructed under “CFC in every constituency programme with an estimated cost of Rs. 50 lakh.
Addressing a gathering, after laying foundation stone for the project, the Minister said that it is the endeavor of present dispensation to build strong and durable assets under MGNREGA for larger benefit of the people.
Highlighting the importance of CFCs and Panchayat Ghars, Haq said under the new concept of convergence of funds, sustainable assets are being created under MGNREGA in rural areas of the State.
Later, the Minister laid foundation stone of a road from Sagam to Kandiwara village which will be constructed under convergence scheme with department of R&B.
