JAMMU:Chairman, Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) Leh, Dr. Sonam Dawa called on minister for R&B, Gardens, Parks and Floriculture, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari in Jammu on Wednesday and discussed the road projects coming up in Leh district. Apart from up-gradation of certain existing roads, the chairman also demanded construction of new roads in the district under NABARD and PMGSY schemes.
The minister said that a project worth Rs.30 crore for repairs and up-gradation of town and city roads will be shortly implemented in the district under projectization programme. He said road connectivity is high on the agenda of the government and assured Dr. Sonam that all the roads of the district would be upgraded and repaired in a time bound manner.
