Srinagar: Scores of candidates who recently appeared in graduate-level job tests conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir State Services Selection Board Monday staged a protest demanded re-examination following the alleged mass copying and use of mobile internet during these exams from scores of centers across the state.
SSB had conducted graduate level job tests on 25 December across state.
The protesting aspirants who assembled in Press Enclave here alleged that mass copying on large scale took place in these tests while some of the aspirants openly used mobile and internet. They alleged that in few centres (names withheld) aspirants were kept in separate rooms while other aspirants were given free hand to consult study material. We want re-examination and it is our request to authorities to come up with a notification in this regard, the protesting aspirants said.
The aspirants who had come from different districts of Kashmir Valley alleged that SSB made a mockery of this examination and in spite of mass copying photographs went viral, examination at only two centres in Jammu were cancelled. If SSB did not cancel the examination, we will hit the roads on daily basis, they warned.
When contacted Secretary Board, Shabir Ahmad Raina said the issue will be decided in meeting that will be held shortly. CNS
