Srinagar: Haryana Education Minister Ram Bilas Sharma Monday said wards of Kashmiri migrants would be given reservation and various relaxations in their admissions in the institutes of higher education operating in Haryana.
The Education Minister here said that these concessions include relaxation in cut-off percentage up to 10 per cent subject to minimum eligibility requirement and increase in intake capacity up to five per cent course-wise. Also, it includes reservation of at least one seat in merit quota in technical and professional institutions and waiving of domicile requirement.
Mr Sharma added that these facilities would be extended to the wards of Kashmiri migrants registered with other than Jammu and Delhi states. He said the state government has issued instructions to all universities and colleges of the State in this regard.
